Final Conclusion

This period I've had many experiences, I have known many fiends and I have improved my English which was the purpose of the class. I have enjoyed this class because it is dynamic and I don't get bored so it was like a distressful class in which I learned but I also enjoyed. Thank you professor for being comprehensive when I couldn't assist to the class and this grade helped me to improve my general average, so for me this was a really enjoyable class.

1) What is your favorite sport? How did you get interested in that sport?
Since I was a child, my mother and my father wanted me to play soccer and when I played it for the first time it became my favorite sport because it is a distressing activity that involved team work and fun.

2) Experience with sports that stands in your memory.
I was a pleasant experience because in the final game I scored the goal of victory from the outside of the area.

3) Who are you sport heroes? Which qualities they have?
My sport heroes are Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho Gaucho because they have improved their individual skills with the ball to another level.

4) What should  be done about the  control of drugs for the athletes?
I think that apply for more antidopping checks  and have bigger punishments and really apply for them.

5) What is the appropriate role for athletics in country´s educational system?

It is good to give them certain importance in order to increase the interest in the sport culture, but it is better to give more emphasis to the academic programs because that is the reason why you are going to the school .

My conclusion is that sport are activities that improve our health and it is good to practice them with the proper quantity, because if we exaggerate everything in excess is unhealthy. The athletes are heroes for many people and they have the responsibility to be a good example for us.

Education System : Mexico vs Korea

In Mexico there is a big part of the population for which there is no option or opportunity of being educated, and the people that can go to school can not take their classes because teachers aren´t working as they don´t feel comfortable with the new law about education. So instead of being working, they are blocking many important roads of Mexico City. On the other hand, Korea has one of the best education systems in the world; they study 10hr per day 4 days a week, because they think that students with enough rest have a better performance and I agree with that idea. Also education is free and with quality, I am not saying that here in Mexico all the public schools are bad, but many elementary and middle schools don´t receive enough support for the government for infrastructure and to pay well salary so the teachers have no interest working there.

Finally, my conclusion is that the education system of Mexico is far from being the best, but the resources that we have could be administrated in important things as education and job opportunities, if the government really invest in these two things there would be people more prepared in order to face the world.

1) Opinion pros and cons of living in a large city.

I think the pros of living in a large city are that you have everything that you need close to your house, some examples are the markets, restaurants or cinemas. But in the other hand you have pollution,traffic and this kind of problems that over-populated cities have.

2) Prefer living in the suburbs or city.

I prefer living in the suburbs because it has a more peaceful and quiet environment so the life there, for me, is more enjoyable, but living in the city would also be great because you have all the things that you need close to your house, work, friends, etc.

3)Rate your city from 1-10. Explain.

The city where I live is Atizapán de Zaragoza and if I had to rate it I would give an eight, because it has a lot of good things like security, restaurants, schools, but it also has over-population and this causes traffic, pollution and other problems.

4)If I could live anywhere, where would it be?

I would live in New Zealand because for me it is an advanced country that cares for their people and their natural areas.

What do I´ve learned?

I´ve learned that it doesn´t matter where you live or what pros and cons it has, the important thing here is that we contribute with our community so the place where we live be the best and makes us happy.

1)Difference between Mexican culture and French culture.

I think the most important difference of Mexican culture with the others is that our gastronomy is very spicy and flavored, and it is also served in big amounts, but in the case of France the amounts are very small, that is why they called it "le petite cuisine".

2)Problem experienced by cross-cultural differences.

When I was in Europe in my tour were two guys from Honduras and even they also speak Spanish we didn´t have the same words for some things. An example of this is the word "camión", we can use it to talk about the trucks that transport goods or for the public transports, but they to talk about the public transport they say "bus".

3)Example for each category:
*Communication Styles: When you say something it may mean different.
Example: "cajeta" Mexican sweet cream       "cajeta" bad word in Argentina

*Decision-making styles: We have many different ideas and it is very difficult to get an agreement.

*Approaches to completing tasks: Sometimes Mexicans leave things at last, but the Corean people do it with time in order to do it well.


What do I´ve learned?
I´ve learned that in each part of the world we all have our own characteristics that make us who we are and that build every day our culture.

Personal Opinion

I agree with Jessica, because I also think that both, no matter city or the suburbs, have its own advantage. In my case I live in the suburbs because my family and I prefer this environment quiet and more peaceful, but if had to live in the city I wouldn´t be sad or angry because as Jessica said you have the advantage that everything is closer, restaurants, cinema, offices, etc . My conclusión would be that the best place where you can live is where you are happy and comfortable with the environment and people of that región.
